Phones, computers or automobiles... German inventions have changed the world. More than 30.000 patents annually are of German origin, ranking at number three worldwide.
The exhibition „Germany, Land of Inventions“ showcased groundbreaking inventions from Germany, with a main focus on historical discoveries and pioneering innovations in the fields of computer science, energy, communication, mobility, medicine, optics and materials.
The interactive exhibition also provided information about Germany as a potential country to study and conduct research in order to interest young people worldwide in German language and Germany. As part of the “German Season“, the exhibition was shown for the first time in three cities in Indonesia – Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya – before it toured in Europe, Asia and North and South America with the Goethe-Institut.
„Germany, Land of Inventions“ is an exhibition of the Goethe-Institut in cooperation with Fraunhofer and the Max Planck Society.
