How does a light bulb work? Why does a mosquito sting? What creates lightning? The Science Film Festival showed films from Europe and Asia that communicate technical and scientific issues in an understandable way, targeted specifically at a young audience.
The concept of the festival: the screening of science films, combined with experiments and educational games that presented the content of these films in an interactive way and are fun for everyone involved. That way, complex scientific issues can be explained in an easily understandable way.
The festival that already took place for the sixth time in Indonesia, had a deep impact and reached around 51.000 young students this year.
Besides Indonesia, the festival was simultaneously held in other countries in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. It is the biggest festival of its kind worldwide.
